How to Mod Weapons and Armor in Outriders
He’ll appear at your camp after you’ve completed the Salvation main story mission. If you haven’t reached this point in the game yet, take some time to focus on story progression.
Once he appears in your camp, he can be found in a small shop that you’ll use to mod weapons and armor in Outriders. It’ll be indicated on your map by an icon that shows a screwdriver and wrench crossed into an X.
Find his shop in your camp, and then speak to him. His first dialogue option will mention needing help crafting and modifying gear.
Select this dialogue option. This will take you into the Outriders crafting menu, where you can choose which weapons or armor you want to modify. Select the gear you want to mod, and then choose the Mod Gear option.
You’ll then be able to apply a mod to your equipment so long as it has a Rare rarity rating or higher; you have the proper resources to mod it, such as Leather or Iron; and you have some mods that can be added to it.
How to Get More Mods
That last bit can be tricky, though, if you don’t know how to find more weapon and armor mods in Outriders.
Fortunately, this isn’t too hard to remedy. All you need to do is dismantle equipment that contains mods you’d like to work with. This is done from your equipment menu, and can be done with most any piece of equipment.
We have a detailed guide on the process you can refer to here.
