Not every Pokémon will be easy to spot in New Pokemon Snap. Some will be hidden in plain sight, forcing you to carefully observe your surroundings and find a way to draw them out. Such is the case with Jirachi, and if you’re looking for help deciphering where to find Jirachi in New Pokemon Snap, rest assured that you’re not alone.
That’s why we’ve compiled this guide. Read on to find out where this legendary Pokémon is located, and how to get the best shot of it you possibly can.
Where to Find Jirachi in New Pokemon Snap
Jirachi can be found in New Pokemon Snap’s Ruins of Remembrance area once you reach the post game.
After entering the area, you’ll encounter a group of Eldegoss as they’re flying around in your field of vision. Jirachi will sneak in under the cover of this group, and you won’t be able to get a good shot of it. Fortunately, you can get it to leave the group by hitting it with an Illumina Orb.
Wait for Jirachi to be exposed enough, and then lob an Illumina Orb at it. Once it has been hit, it’ll flee further into the Ruins. You’ll then encounter it later on in the course, and will be able to get a clear shot of it without other Pokémon or objects getting in the way.
How to Get a High Quality Photo of Jirachi
As for whether or not there are ways to further improve your photos of Jirachi using items or melodies in New Pokemon Snap, the answer is no.
If you do things like play a Melody or throw some Fluffruit toward Jirachi, it won’t react to them. As such, you’ll want to focus entirely on getting the best shot of it you possibly can once you encounter it the second time, and not waste time trying to bait it into a better action or position.
