How to Get Durice Island Illumina Pokemon in New Pokemon Snap

The Illumina Spot on Durice Island takes you through a cave. At first, it will seem like nothing is there. Eventually, you’ll start to hear some rumbling coming from the openings in the cave walls.

The Illumina Pokemon Steelix is hiding in there. You can lure him out by throwing Fluffruit at the openings. This will cause a huge rumble, and Steelix will come flying out.

Before you can snap a photo of it, you must throw an Illumina Orb at Steelix to make it glow. Photos of it will only count if it is glowing.

This is by far the toughest Illumina Pokemon to capture yet because of how quickly Steelix moves. You only have one chance each time it flies out of the cave walls to hit him or snap a photo. Luckily, you get multiple tries during the course, so don’t panic when it flies by quickly. A good tip is to anticipate which direction Steelix is going to go and be ready for it.

If you get back to Professor Mirror and find that your photos don’t count, make sure you are hitting the Steelix with a few Illumina Orbs to make it glow brightly. Any photos of the glowing effect will count.

That’s everything you need to know about how to get the Durice Island Illumina Pokemon. Be sure to check out Twinfinite’s guide wiki for more coverage on New Pokemon Snap.
