How to Get Belusylva Island Illumina Pokemon in New Pokemon Snap

When you first enter the Illumina Spot on Belusylva island, you’ll quickly realize that the Pokemon you need to photograph here is the Water-type Pokemon Milotic.

Milotic will swim around around your NEO-ONE vehicle, which skims the surface of the water. Fortunately, this Illumina Pokemon is pretty easy to take a photo of.

If you just snap a regular photo, it won’t count. It needs to be glowing with the power of the Illumina for Professor Mirror to accept it for his research.

You can do this by waiting for Milotic to pop its head out of the water and throwing an Illumina Orb at it until it glows. If you’re having trouble getting Milotic to pop its head out of the water, you can lure it out by throwing a Fluffruit at it.

Any photo of Milotic while it is glowing from the Illumina Orb will count in Professor Mirror’s evaluation, even if it is underwater.

For the most points, try to snap a picture while Milotic is out of the water and looking directly at the camera. It doesn’t move too fast compared to some of the other Illumina Pokemon, so it shouldn’t be too hard to get a good shot.

If you get back to Professor Mirror and find that your photos don’t count, make sure you are hitting the Milotic with a few Illumina Orbs to make it glow brightly. Any photos of the glowing effect will count.

That’s everything you need to know about how to get the Belusylva Island Illumina Pokemon. Be sure to check out Twinfinite’s guide wiki for more coverage on New Pokemon Snap.
