Flower Dancing Mod

Best New Stardew Valley Mods February 2021

Kicking off our list of the best Stardew Valley mods of February 2021, we have a mod that tweaks some of the aspects of the iconic Flower Dance scene in the game.

The Flower Dance is a festival that takes place every Spring in the game where you can invite one of the bachelors or bachelorettes to dance with you in front of the whole town.

This mod makes it so you have the same attire on as the rest of the NPCs during the actual dance, as normally you wear your normal clothes and stick out like a sore thumb.

It also makes it so you dance the same animation alongside the NPCs as well.

This mod will make you feel more like a member of the community while at the Flower Dance festival, instead of a rando who showed up late in the wrong clothes.

Greenhouse Upgrades

Last month we saw a bunch of greenhouse-based mods, and it’s continuing this month as well with this mod that allows you to expand the size of your greenhouse for even more planting options.

This is especially useful in the winter months when planting outside isn’t an option.

This mod also adds an auto-watering option as the last upgrade to the greenhouse as well, if watering all your indoor plants yourself isn’t something you enjoy spending your time on.

Abilities in Experience Bars

This is a small UI tweak mod to the base Stardew Valley gameplay but it honestly makes upgrading abilities so much more satisfying from moment to moment.

By adding a small status bar as seen above, you can actually keep track of all your skill levels via experience bars that fill up as you raise in rank. They are color coded as well to make them easier to discern from a distance.

It also includes experience bars for modded skills such as the Luck Skill, Magic skill, Cooking Skill, and custom Love of Cooking skill.

Platonic Partners and Friendships

Some of the best NPC character moments are hid behind heart events, so if you don’t want to romance every NPC in town but also want to access all that dialog then this next mod will be the one for you.

It changes the heart events normally only accessible if you are romancing one of the bachelor or bachelorettes and tweaks them slightly to suggest a platonic and non-romantic relationship with the player.

It includes a detailed, customizable platonic partnership option as an alternative to marriage, and you’ll feel a lot closer to the ‘marriageable’ NPCs without having to actually marry them at the end of the heart events.

Water Bot

If watering your crops is your least favorite chore to do on your farm (as it often is for most people) this mod allows you simply right click on your watering can to auto-water all your crops for you.

It won’t actually do it automatically in one second though. It will still go through the process and take up the same time and energy it would have taken you of you did it yourself. This is so the game doesn’t lose its sense of time by completely skipping one of the main chores altogether.

That way you don’t have to sit there and click every crop yourself, but you don’t have to feel like the challenge of only having so many hours in a day is taken away as well.

Not to mention the bot will also automatically fill up the watering can as it goes.

Custom NPCs for NPC Map Locations

If you’re a fan of downloading custom NPC mods, this next inclusion should pique your interest.

Once downloaded, this mod allows not only vanilla NPC heads to appear on the Stardew Valley map, but custom character heads as well. Making it very easy to find any character you want while in-game without looking up their schedules.

While it obviously does not include every single custom character ever made, the full list of its inclusions (which are plenty) can be found on its Nexus Mods page.

Simple Foilage

This one specifically changes of normal trees and fruit trees, which colors changes uniquely for every season.

In all there are nine new sprites, with 28 swatches in total.
