Garden Story

Ever want to play as a grape? Well, you’ll be able to in Garden Story. In this upcoming game you play as Concorde, the town’s guardian.

Rot is spreading throughout your town so you are tasked with taking care of the island, exploring, building friendships, and solving puzzles. You must work to repair social ties and structures by bringing different aspects of the village together.

This is all in order to fend off the Rot that is threatening to destroy everything. Did we mention that the villages consist of different fruits, fungi, and creatures? This cute game is set to release in 2021.

Everafter Falls

This upcoming game was inspired by titles such as Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley. You must take care of your farm after finding yourself in the fantastical world of Everafter Falls by using drones, gaining abilities, and more.

You’ll be able to farm, craft, and complete quests in this game that combines different aspects from the two aforementioned titles.

Did we mention it also includes a split-screen co-op mode? Everafter Falls is slated to release sometime in 2021 or 2022.

The Good Life

The Good Life is a daily life simulator that will offer play freedom, memorable characters, and a good story.

You play as Naomi, a journalist from New York who has moved to a rural British town where she will solve mysteries and experience the charm of town’s wilderness.

This game is a little bit different than most on the list because it incorporates mystery and the like, but the aesthetic makes this one worth a good look.

It should be on track to release still in 2020.

Hokko Life

A cozy, indie life simulator? Yes, please! The upcoming Hokko Life is perfect for Animal Crossing fans. You will get to build your own town, decorate, make friends with the residents, and complete tasks.

You will get to design everything from furniture to clothing. You can think of this one as the most similar upcoming title to Animal Crossing as so many of the features are very familiar such as completing requests from the townspeople.

Grab it when it comes out this some time this year!

Bear and Breakfast

Bear and Breakfast is an adorable upcoming game where you play as a well-meaning bear who runs a B&B. This town life simulator will allows for relationship building, decorating, exploring, and more.

It’s akin to Animal Crossing in terms of customization and management, but strays a bit with its more extensive storyline. Different woodland creatures will offer varying perspectives and offer their own knowledge on your surroundings.
