While each skill has its own merits in Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning, four, in particular, will allow you to break the game over your knee once upgraded. Specifically, they are the Blacksmithing, Alchemy, Sagecraft and Detect Hidden skills.
The first three allow you to craft a variety of useful items from better armor and gear to curatives. You can unlock the ability to make gear that drastically reduces how much damage you suffer via Blacksmithing; increase your offensive and defensive stats by several times with Sagecraft; and heal any wounds you might suffer with ease through Alchemy.
