Shell Stone Locations in Paper Mario Origami King

Shortly after embarking on your adventure to save the kingdom you’ll reach the temple door to the Earth Vellumental. In order to enter this door you’ll need to find the five colored shell stones.

Luckily one of the stones is already in the door, but the other four have been scattered around.

Once you’re tasked with finding the stones, leave the entrance to the temple and go back the way you came. From there, if you continue to follow the path, you’ll see a couple of Koopas surrounding a Monty Mole.

The Mole is selling the green shell stone for 10,000 coins, but you can keep refusing to purchase the stone. He will eventually offer it for 300 coins instead.

Continue on your way until you stumble upon a save block right past a bridge. To the left of the save block there will be a few bushes. However, one of those bushes will be wiggling.

Simply hit it with your hammer to reveal a Goomba that will attack on sight. Once you’ve completed the battle, the Goomba will drop a 1,000 Fold Arms Circle and allow you to peel back part of the mountain revealing a Dry Bones holding the yellow shell stone.

Now only two more shell stones remain. As you continue you along the path, you’ll come to a dock with a Koopa and a fishing rod. The Koopa will mention that a fish stole his stone.

Interact with the fishing rod to play a very simple fishing mini-game. Cast your rod into the water and aim for the biggest shadow you can see. Once you catch the fish it will spit out the blue shell stone.

The last shell stone can be found at the very end of the trail. You can’t miss it because it’s being guarded by three giant Shy Guys. They are kicking it around like a soccer ball, which makes it difficult to get away from them.

Hit one of them with your hammer to knock It over for a few seconds. Then run over to the stone to cause the other Shy Guys to pass the stone to the knocked over one.

Quickly run over to the stone and grab it before the knocked over Shy Guy gets up. The Shy Guys will then become enraged and you must defeat them with your hammer to free the Toads trapped inside.
