Like with the other basic Z Orbs in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, Red Z Orbs are used to learn new skills and upgrade existing techniques. Characters like Goku and Krillin in particular need them for most all of their upgrades, as their techniques prioritize Red Z Orbs as their primary upgrade material.

As such, you’ll want to get as many Orbs as you can as fast as you can, and there are two key methods for getting them quickly: By defeating enemies in battle with boosts from the Community of the Gods Community Board, or by exploring the game’s world for those found in the open.

How to Get More Red Z Orbs From Battles

For the first method, you’ll need to have reached a certain point in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot’s main story; that being the latter portion of the Saiyan saga.

After Goku is resurrected with the Dragon Balls and sent back to Earth, you’ll gain access to the Community of the Gods Community Board. With it, you’ll be able to gain up to 20 percent more Z Orbs from battles. greatly increasing how many Z Orbs you can obtain.

Play up to this part of the game, and when you obtain this Community Board, fill it with Soul Emblems which will boost its effects. Some good examples are linking Mr. Popo to Kami and then Kami to King Yemma, which will net you some large bonuses in addition to each characters’ affinity for the Gods stat.

From there, head into battle – specifically, those offered by main missions and side missions – and start racking up Red Z Orbs.

So, to recap how to get Red Z Orbs fast through battle in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot:

  1. Play through the game up to the point when Goku is resurrected with the Dragon Balls during the Saiyan saga

This will bring you to the point where you unlock the Community of the Gods Community Board.

  2. Add Soul Emblems to the board to boost its effects

A good example is adding Kami next to Mr. Popo, and then King Yemma next to Kami.

Try to focus on completing battles from the main mission and side missions for a maximum yield of Z Orbs.

Where to Get More Red Z Orbs From the Over-World in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot

As for the other method of obtaining Red Z Orbs fast in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, it’s a bit more time consuming.

Throughout the over-world, you’ll find Z Orbs scattered around different locations, typically based around the terrain. Blue Z Orbs are near water, Green Z Orbs are near grassy plains, and so forth. As for Red Z Orbs, they’re typically found in sandier, hotter terrain such as deserts, beaches and canyons.

To that end, your best bet for nabbing tons of Red Z Orbs from the over-world is to head to areas like the Gizard Wasteland. There, you can find a ton of Red Z Orbs in the deserts and canyons scattered about, and should be able to round up plenty of orbs in no time flat.
