How to Evolve Fraxure Into Haxorus in Pokemon Sword and Shield
To make a long story short, you can evolve Fraxure into Haxorus in Pokemon Sword and Shield by raising Fraxure’s level to 48.
This is easier said than done though, as like most Dragon types, Fraxure requires an exceptional amount of EXP for each level up, especially at later levels.
Fortunately, there are a few workarounds you can use to cut down your grinding time exponentially.
Evolve Fraxure Fast With EXP Candies
One method is to use EXP Candies to level up your Fraxure outside of battle.
A new type of item introduced in Pokemon Sword and Shield, EXP Candies contain a set amount of experience you can use to boost your Pokémon’s levels.
They come in a variety of sizes, from XS to XL. The larger the size, the more EXP your Pokémon will be granted.
Getting them is straightforward too. While out in the Wilds, look for opportunities to battle with Dynamaxed Pokémon. Defeating them will net you EXP Candies, with higher ranked Dynamaxed Pokémon dropping larger variants.
Using the Lucky Egg to Level Fraxure & Evolve Into Haxorus
The other method you can use is to find Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Lucky Egg.
Like with past entries in the series, the Lucky Egg is a holdable item you can give to your Pokémon. While they’re holding it, they’ll gain more experience from every battle they’re in, greatly speeding up the rate at which they level up.
To get it, head to the Seafood Restaurant in Hulbury found to the right of the town’s Pokémon Center. Speak to the chef inside, and then deliver some food for him. After you’ve made the deliveries, you’ll be rewarded with the Lucky Egg for use at your discretion.
