How to Hack Claymores in Modern Warfare

As we alluded to above, hacking explosives requires you to have equipped a certain perk. Specifically, the E.O.D perk, which both reduces damage taken from non-kill streak enemy explosives and allows you hack Claymores, C4, and Proximity Mines.

You shouldn’t have any difficulty getting and equipping E.O.D — it’s unlocked at level 1.

Once you have it unlocked and equipped, to actually hack enemy explosives, approach the device from behind and complete the button prompt.

You’ll need to make sure you have enough time to spare to complete the prompt; hacking takes several seconds and during this time you’ll be vulnerable to enemy fire without the ability to move or shoot.

Do note that using the level 3 Spotter perk will give you the ability to see explosive devices through walls, which obviously makes the process of finding and hacking them much easier.

Finally, if it’s too dangerous to take the time to hack a Claymore, remember that you can always eliminate them by using C4 or grenades. Sometimes fighting fire with fire is the only way to get it done…

Time needed: 1 minute

In short, here’s how to hack claymores in Modern Warfare:

  1. Equip the E.O.D perk, which is unlocked from the start.

  2. Sneak up behind them and enter the button prompt.

  3. You could just blow them up if you’d rather not wait for the hacking to happen
