The new game in the annual NBA 2K series is out now and you’ll be jumping into all the new features. However, there’s still all the standard basketball stuff you’ll need to master. Dunks aren’t always necessary, but they’re a fun and impressive way to score a couple of points on the break away. You won’t see any Space Jam style half-court dunks, but players with high enough stats will dunk the ball and you can be pretty sure that you’ll put points on the board.
Dunking the Ball in NBA 2K20
Thankfully, dunking the ball in NBA 2K20 is pretty simple. All you need to do is be sprinting at the basket and shoot as you normally would, whether than be using the button or the right thumbstick.
It might not always work, as the success rate depends on the dunk stats of the player you’re controlling.
If their dunk stats are low, they simply won’t jump to try and dunk the ball if they’re surrounded by a few defenders or aren’t at the perfect angle to basket.
Therefore, if you want to be more consistent when you dunk, try and upgrade your created character’s stats or pass the ball off to someone with better stats while you’re on the break. Below are the buttons that you’ll need to press for each console.
