FIFA 20: How to Skip Cutscenes

FIFA 20 is back, boasting new additions to its highly-compelling Ultimate Team mode, new roster updates, and in this year, the new street football-inspired Volta mode. Volta has a bunch of cutscenes telling you a bit of a corny street soccer story. If you just want to get straight back into the gameplay, here’s how to skip cutscenes in FIFA 20.

Because of how corny and bad the writing is in these Volta cutscenes, chances are you’ll just want to ignore the story and play through the games. To do this, simply press and hold Square on PS4, X on Xbox One, or Y on Nintendo Switch.

Doing this should result in a little circle beginning to fill up in the bottom corner of your screen. Continue to hold the button down, and once the circle has been filled, the cutscene will skip and you’ll be free to get back to FIFA 20’s gameplay.

Can You Skip FIFA 20 Intro Cutscene?

It is worth noting, however, that the first time you start up FIFA 20, the game will run an intro cutscene.

No matter how hard you try, you cannot skip this cutscene, regardless of whether you press and hold Square/ X/ Y. After this one, though, it’ll work on all other cutscenes you come across.

What Volta’s Story Is About

FIFA 20’s Volta mode is all about street football, and the story puts you in the boots of a newbie at a street football crew.

Due to injuries and players leaving the crew, only you and another player are left, and it’s down to you to win tournaments and recruit players.

As we said, it’s pretty corny and the writing’s not great, but if you’re looking for another way to pass the time in FIFA 20, then it’s always an option.

That’s everything you need to now on how to skip cutscenes in FIFA 20. For more tips, tricks, and guides, be sure to check out our ever-expanding guide wiki, or more of our guides below:
