Today, following a panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Netflix revealed the first trailer of the upcoming The Witcher TV series.
The trailer provides an extensive (a whole two minutes long) look at the game’s characters in action, including Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer.
It certainly looks rather interesting, even if fans of the game might feel a slight disconnect due to the series being based mainly on the original books.
That being said, we don’t know when the series is going to be released just yet, it’s likely that we’ll have to wait for a while longer before we can make a final judgment call on whether it’s a quality addition to the universe originally created by Andrzej Sapkowski.
You can watch it below, and see if it entices you.
An official description on Netflix recites as follows:
“The witcher Geralt, a mutated monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts.”
If you want to learn more, earlier today quite a few details have surfaced about the story and production of the series.
