Dauntless is finally out fully on consoles and PC, so you can head out into the wild to hunt for Behemoths. As you take down enemies, you’re going to come across a load of items and wonder what to do with them. Here’s everything you need to know about how to get Dewspines and what they’re used for in Dauntless.
How to Get Dewspines in Dauntless & What They’re Used For
Where to Find Them
Dewspines are found in very specific places. You can get them as drop from breaking the legs of Quillshot enemies. When facing one, aim for its legs and keep your fingers crossed that the blue spiky items drop.
Any kind of damage works, but the likes of swords, repeaters, chain blades, and axes are best for breaking parts in Dauntless. Hammers might be helpful weapons too for slowing Quillshot enemies down so that their legs are easier to attack.
Do note, though, that Dewspines aren’t guaranteed to drop after you break the legs of Quillshots. Simply keep trying and keep your fingers crossed that you’ll see them. Thankfully, they’re categorized as a common drop, so you shouldn’t have to wait too long to see them.
What Dewspines Are Used For
Dewspines are used to craft Quillshot gear, as you’d expect since you get them from that type of enemy. Then, when you next head back to the gear vendors, you’ll be able to purchase gear using the items.
Here’s a list of all the weapons and armor you can craft with Dewspines:
- Quillshot’s Tusk
- Quillshot’s Roar
- Quillshot’s Bonehooks
- Quillshot’s Fury
- Quillshot’s Javelin
- Quillspike Mask
- Quillspike Jacket
- Quillspike Grip
- Quillspike Boots
