Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation Celebrates Honoka’s Birthday in the Usual Way

Tomorrow (actually today in Japan) is March 24, which means that it’s Honoka’s birthday. Koei Tecmo and DMM are celebrating in Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation.

If you’re wondering how they’re celebrating, you’re probably not familiar with the game, as they have pretty much done exactly the same thing with every heroine so far.

Basically, they launched a gacha with a brand new SSR costume for Honoka, and the catch is that you can’t use free V-stones. You can only use paid ones if you have money to burn.

On top of that, this one costume looks arguably quite silly, and and you have only 0.78% chance to get it (plus 0.3% chance of getting one of two older SSR bikinis). For your trouble, you also get a cake that you can give to Honoka to grant her some free experience. Actually, scratch that. It isn’t free at all.

Of course, you can just go the cheap way, and just wish Honoka “Happy Birthday!” It’s the thought that counts.

Incidentally, the latest event is still running, alongside the previous one to celebrate White Day.

If you’re not familiar with Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation, it’s available exclusively for PC only at the moment, and only in Japanese. That being said, the story isn’t exactly that relevant in this game, so you can play it without any issues.

If you’re more interested in console games, you can check out the latest trailer of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Scarlet, which has just been released for PS4 and Switch.
