How Many Quests Red Dead Redemption 2 Has & How Long it Takes to Beat
Rockstar’s western epic has finally arrived in the form of Red Dead Redemption 2 on Xbox One and PS4. Following the story of the Van der Linde gang, and set before the events of the original title, players assume the role of Arthur Morgan as they journey across the west evading the law. There’s a ton of side content to dive into, such as hunting, fishing, completing little quests for strangers, and a whole bunch more. However, the main story alone is pretty huge. As such, some players may be wondering how many quests Red Dead Redemption 2 has, and how long it’ll take for you to beat.
To help you answer that question, we’ve not only provided a few of our own playthrough times, but also given you a complete list of all main quests. Please be warned, however, that the names of these may contain spoilers, and so we’ve popped these a little further down the page with a nice big spoiler warning to help you avoid any.
How Long Red Dead Redemption 2 Takes to Beat
In our playthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2, it took us around 50 hours to complete. This involved us completing all of the main quests, which we’ve listed below. We certainly didn’t reach 100% completion in Red Dead Redemption 2 during our playthrough, with so many species of flora, fauna, and wild animals making up its enormous compendium. There’s also an absolute ton of side activities and content that we barely scratched the surface of during our playthroughs in order to reach the end of the story.
On top of that, there are the cigarette cards, dinosaur bones, cave markings, and a whole bunch of other stranger quests that we worked towards, but haven’t yet completed in the 50-60 hours we’ve currently played of the game. Not to mention you’ve got pastimes like Hunting, Fishing, and going after Bounties, too.
As such, chances are if you wanted to 100% Red Dead Redemption 2’s story mode, as well as getting all of the gold medals for the main missions which requires you completing set objectives, you could spend an absolute ton more time. Our prediction for this would be well over 90 hours.
