How to Get New Weapons in Valkyria Chronicles 4
Valkyria Chronicles 4 wants to make amends for shifting its ways for a bit there on us. The core gameplay that fans know and love is back. That means squads, recruitments, tactics, and – yes – equipment and weapons! You’re going to be able to get new weapons to make your team even better than it already was. But how? Don’t worry, I have your back. Here’s how to get new weapons in Valkyria Chronicles 4.
There’s really two ways to get new weapons in Valkyria Chronicles 4. We’ll go over them both.
The first way is done by heading over to the Headquarters tab once you unlock it. This is after Chapter 1, by the way. You need to go there and then head to the R&D tab. This is where you’re able to research and buy new weapons. Also general equipment and things to outfit your tank with, by the way.
Once you’re there, you’re going to need DCT (which is the currency in the game) to buy the research. But doing so will then make that gun or uniform the standard for every soldier in that class. If you’re looking for more money to be able to do this, you get it by going to battle. A good way to farm it is by heading into skirmishes over and over.
Okay with that way out of the way, here’s the second method of getting weapons in Valkyria Chronicles 4. This way is simple. You’ll get new weapons by defeating enemies in battle. Not just any enemies, though. They need to be the Aces.
These are the really tough enemies that have way more armor, smarts, and aim than the regular ones. They’re easy to spot by their legitimate names. They’re not just “Enemy Shocktrooper” or whatever. They’ll actually have a name and title and they can often be found off the beaten path, hiding away like a secret enemy on the map.
Defeat them and run over to them to pick up their weapon. After the battle is over, you’ll be able to check it out and see its stats and all that.
That’s all there is to it! That’s how you get new weapons in Valkyria Chronicles 4. If you need more help with the game, you should definitely check out our wiki over here.
