Dino Garage

ARK, mods

ARK: Survival Evolved is all about collecting dinosaurs and riding them around the vast world, although there might come a point where you might have way too many prehistoric pets for your own good.

If it ever comes to that, this ARK: Survival Evolved mod adds a dino garage in the game, allowing you to store up to 100 dinos on default settings to reduce your servers load and save game file size. This is a perfect mod if your servers are a bit too clogged, or you’re having some trouble dealing with large file sizes. Moreover, this ARK: Survival Evolved mod won’t compensate any details of your pets, so you check their info at any time in the game.

Teonus

ARK, best mods

This ARK: Survival Evolved mod adds a completely new area to the game, expanding your adventure. What was once home to an advanced civilization, only ruins remain in Teonus. There are plenty of places to visit and secrets to uncover, as well as some ancient curses you can unleash. Do note that the mod is still under construction, as some of the other biomes are currently under development.

Around 75 percent of the surface is complete, while the modder is still working on fixing the underwater areas in Teonus. If you want to take a look at the current area, you can download the mod and check out some of the places that have been built.

Feeding Trough

ARK, best mods

As with all pets, one way to keep them happy and healthy is by feeding them meals. Each pet has a food value you have to maintain in ARK, and if it goes down too much, it will start losing health until it dies. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like you can keep all of your meals fresh without a fridge, leaving you with some spoiled food. If you hate wasting your resources, you can add this ARK: Survival Evolved mod to your game.

As the name implies, it adds a feeding trough which acts as a place to store your pet’s food, keeping it fresh. It’s important to note that you will need electricity or a tek generator to keep it running since it’s a machine, after all. Once you manage to have everything up and running, you can cut time on having to search for food and focus on exploring instead.

Metabolizers – Dino Hunger Made Easy

ARK, best mods

Food and hunger play a crucial role when seeking pets, especially since you’ll need to feed them before they join your side. Once you knock them out, you’ll have to fill their belly with the food they like, although this can get a bit challenging when you’re trying to tame a powerful dinosaur. Luckily, this ARK: Survival Evolved mod adds metabolizers that lower the hunger of unconscious dinos to allow for quicker taming.

There are three different metabolizers you can craft, with the first recipe learnable at level 15. Meanwhile, you can craft the second metabolizer once you reach level 30, and the last and most potent metabolizer is learned at level 60. It’s always a great idea to have some of these items on hand as you never know when you might come across a dinosaur you want as a pet.

Ark X-Tended: X-Tra Tranqs

ARK, best mods

This ARK: Survival Evolved mod adds a new set of tranquilizers called X-Tranqs. These new items improve the overall effectiveness of the tranq arrows and darts in the game, pretty much rebalancing them in compensation for the increased resource requirements. There are a total of 6 X-Tranqs, with three arrows and darts each.

You can start learning how to craft these items once you reach level 30, and you’ll learn how to make more potent versions as you level up. The second tier X-Tranqs add a 25 percent slow debuff, while the third-tier X-Tranq is 10 times more powerful than the typical dart or arrow.
