How to Get the Royale Bomber Skin in Fortnite
Everyone loves a good cosmetic item in their favorite online multiplayer game. It just helps to make you stand out from the crowd, and in Fortnite’s case, allows you to take on another form that isn’t the plain ol’ default skin. While Epic Games continues to release new skins almost every week for Fortnite, the Royale Bomber skin has a lot of people excited and desperate to get their hands on it. So, how exactly do you get the Royale Bomber skin in Fortnite? Here’s what you need to know.
The Royale Bomber skin can currently only be gotten as part of a PS4 hardware bundle, that comes with Fortnite pre-installed on the system. And it just so happens that the Royale Bomber skin is a bonus bit of DLC content in the Fortnite PS4 hardware bundle. As such, if you want to get the Royale Bomber skin in the game, you’ll need to get your hands on one of those codes that come with the bundles.
There’s a slight problem with this whole hardware bundle, however. If you’re living in the States, you’ll be fresh out of luck on getting your hands on one. Speaking to Polygon, an Epic Games representative stated that “The only way you can get the ‘Royale Bomber’ at this time is in the bundle. We don’t have anything to announce regarding console bundles being available outside of Europe.”
While this may come as disappointing news, it’s worth holding out a little bit of hope. That’s because of the wording of that quote, and the fact that they specifically said “at this time” when referring to the hardware bundle being the only way to get the Royale Bomber skin in Fortnite. With a bit of luck, after a while, the skin will make its way to the in-game Items Store, so you won’t have to pay over the odds for a code, or buy the hardware itself (which we absolutely do not recommend for the sake of a skin).
