mgsv, metal gear survive

Xbox is coming up big with its Games with Gold offerings this month, with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain being the headlining title. It was made free on PS Plus a while back, but if you weren’t able to take advantage of the deal, Microsoft has you covered. MGSV puts you in the shoes of Big Boss for the final entry in the Metal Gear saga, and players will get to explore a large open world while tackling missions however they want.

Aside from that, Vanquish and the Streets of Rage Collection are also worth looking into. Developed by Platinum Games, Vanquish is widely regarded as one of the developer’s best releases yet, and it offers up quite a few innovations to the third-person shooter genre. For the low, low price of absolutely nothing, it’s definitely worth a shot.

You can check out all the free games available to Gold subscribers for May 2018 down below:

  • Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
  • Super Mega Baseball 2
  • Streets of Rage Collection

Rayman Legends is also up for grabs this month, and if you’re a fan of platformers, this one is a no-brainer. The game features four-player co-op, so you can grab three other friends to sit down and play through it with you.

Tesseract VR is a gorgeous puzzle game with beautiful environments, though it should be noted that you’ll need an appropriate VR headset to experience this one. On the flip side, Together is another strange game that will test you to see if you have the necessary “mental state” to survive being in a relationship and helping to nurture it.

  • Tesseract VR
