If you’ve been itching to play A Way Out in March, then We Were Here Too will be a great title to keep you entertained while you wait these last few weeks.
We Were Here Too is an escape co-op title that has you and a friend work together to get out of a super, spooky medieval castle. The main focus of the game is to communicate with your teammate effectively to navigate not just the world together, but complete puzzles as well. We Were Here Too is a standalone sequel to the free-to-play predecessor We Were Here. In the first entry, you can also play with two players, but it differs in that you are instead separated and trying to find each other inside a different abandoned castle.
Both players must have access to a microphone to play, since the gameplay relies on communication so greatly.
We Were Here Too released on PC on Feb. 2.
PUYO PUYO TETRIS (PC)

Taking a new and colorful spin on the classic gameplay of both Tetris and Puyo, Puyo Puyo Tetris combines them both into a harmonious puzzler ripe with fun.
Puyo blobs at the top of the screen come together to form blocks, which are then rotated before being placed at the bottom of the screen. As well, Tetris blocks called Tetriminoes fall and can be destroyed when a horizontal line of blocks all of the same color is filled.
The reason Puyo Puyo Tetris is making this list for February is because it finally released on PC towards the end of the month. Before then, the game had been available from as early as 2014 on different platforms including (get ready), 3DS, Wii U, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. Unless Sega plans on bringing the title to mobile platforms or retroactively and unlikely adding it to the Xbox 360, the PC release should be the last release for Puyo Puyo Tetris after four long years.
There are five game modes that can all be played with up to four players both locally and online. Puyo Puyo Tetris released on PC on Feb. 27.
HUNT: SHOWDOWN (EARLY ACCESS)

Hunt: Showdown from Crytek released in early access this month, offering PvP and PvE match-based games set in the late 19th century in the Louisiana swamps.
In it, you and a team work together to battle monsters to receive bounties, however, once you are in possession of said bounty, you are sure to be a target for other online teams who will hunt you down and kill you to steal the gold for themselves. Death is permanent in Hunt: Showdown, as dying will strip you of both your character and the gear you have collected. However, your experience will still carry over so it’s not all bad.
Up to five teams of two can fight at once, so it always important to stick with your buddy if you want to come out of those swamps alive.
Hunt: Showdown released on Steam early access on Feb. 22, and plans on having a full release at a future date not yet announced.
AEGIS DEFENDERS

Aegis Defenders has you play as a team of Ruinhunters in a ruthless Empire who are searching for a legendary weapon called the Aegis. Featuring whimsical 2D-pixel art and well-crafted platforming puzzles, Aegis Defenders really shines in its tower defense levels where you and your team work together to protect a base from oncoming waves of enemies.
In single-player, you can simply swap between the different characters that each have their own abilities and roles on the team, but you can also play local co-op as well so you and a friend can swap between the team members at a more rapid pace on a shared/split screen.
In Sept. 2014, the project was fully funded on Kickstarter with over $145,000 USD raised by over 4000 different backers after a little over a month. It released on PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch on Feb. 8.
SECRET OF MANA REMAKE

Secret of Mana originally released on SNES all the way back in 1993, and last month a new HD remake released that included three-player local co-op for the campaign, just like the original.
By connecting in two more controllers, you and two friends can control Randi, Primm, and Popoi all at the same time. Be aware, though, that you must have progressed far enough in the story to unlock those two characters before you can connect your controllers to play as them.
Along with the upgraded graphics, the remake also includes voice acting for the first time, a newly arranged score, auto-save functionality, a mini-map, and more DLC content included special costumes and PSN avatars on PS4 and PS Vita, and costumes and a custom downloadable wallpaper on PC.
The Secret of Mana HD remake released for PS4, PS Vita, and PC on Feb. 15.
