Memories Of You
Memories Of You is the end credits theme of Persona 3, and there’s little doubt that this song will be remixed in Persona 3 Dancing Moon Night. And why wouldn’t it? The song is a mesh of many of the familiar themes and tunes we’ve heard all throughout Persona 3, and coupled with Yumi Kawamura’s vocals, it’s easily one of the most memorable songs in the entire soundtrack.
The original version of the song is pretty melancholic, so it’s likely that Dancing Moon Night will remix it in such a way that it sounds a little bit more upbeat, and more like a tune that we can dance to.
Burn My Dread
Not counting Memories Of You, Burn My Dread is often regarded as the most iconic song in Persona 3. The badass rock track plays during the game’s opening movie, and it’s the perfect way to get your pulse racing right before you jump into your new adventure. The vocals of Yumi Kawamura in particular make this track stand out, and you can be sure that we’ll see this one in Dancing Moon Night as well.
Burn My Dread is a pretty fast song by itself, so we’re definitely interested in seeing how the new rhythm game will mix things up and present it in a way we’ve never seen before.
Living With Determination (Iwatodai Arrange)
The original iteration of Living With Determination is a very slow and very melancholic piano piece. However, the Iwatodai iteration of the song adds synthesized beats to the track, making it sound that much more epic and punchy. We first hear this track near the very end of the game, where the core cast of characters slowly begin to toughen up for the final battle that awaits them.
Given the fact that there are no vocals in this track, it might seem unlikely that Living With Determination will be featured in Dancing Moon Night. However, it’s also one of the most popular tracks in Persona 3, and Atlus could certainly mix this one up further to make it fit in the game.
Mass Destruction
Mass Destruction is the regular battle theme of Persona 3, and it’s more than likely the one song that will get stuck in your head by the time you beat the game. And with good reason, too. Mass Destruction is poppy and catchy as all hell, and it’s impossible to not bop your head to this tune whenever it comes up. It’s a nice fusion of pop and rap, and it’d be a perfect fit for Dancing Moon Night.
In all honesty, you could probably leave this track as is and put it in the new rhythm game, and no one would complain. It’s an incredibly easy song to dance to, and we’re sure there’s going to be at least a couple of new remixes of this song in Dancing Moon Night.
When The Moon’s Reaching Out Stars
This is certainly a song that would fit right into a game titled Dancing Moon Night. When The Moon’s Reaching Out Stars is the track that plays in the evening, when you’re wandering around Tatsumi Port Island. It’s a perfectly chill theme that suits the laidback atmosphere, with a hint of pop that comes through, thanks to the lovely vocals.
With a little bit of remixing magic, I could definitely see this track becoming significantly more upbeat, and more fitting with the tone that Dancing Moon Night is going for.
Want To Be Close
Want To Be Close is the track that plays during the day, when you’re wandering around the city after school, pursuing whatever social links you currently have available. The track is a little bit slower than When The Moon’s Reaching Out Stars, but if you’ve heard the Reincarnation version of this song, you’ll know that it certainly has the potential to be quite the catchy dance tune.
This is a severely underrated song in the Persona 3 soundtrack, and we’d absolutely love to see it get remixed for Dancing Moon Night, along with the recognition it deserves.
Deep Breath Deep Breath
This Lotus Juice track only plays a couple of times in Persona 3: once during the love hotel mission, and again during Operation Babe Hunt with Junpei. Still, it’s catchy enough to leave an impression, and it’s even been played during the official Persona 3 live concert.
Deep Breath Deep Breath could end up being one of the slower, but tonally heavier tracks in Dancing Moon Night, just as Backside Of The TV was in Persona 4 Dancing All Night.
Brand New Days
Just as Memories Of You served as the ending theme to the base game of Persona 3, Brand New Days is the ending theme for the game’s epilogue chapter, The Answer. In contrast to the frankly depressing vibes of Memories Of You, this track is a lot more uplifting and hopeful, which is fitting, considering the way the story comes to a proper close in Answers.
While it may not be as catchy as some of the other songs on the Persona 3 soundtrack, this one is yet another underrated and underplayed track we’d like to see in the upcoming game.
Heartful Cry
Heartful Cry is one of the few standout tracks in Persona 3’s The Answer epilogue chapter. It plays during one of the climactic fights between Aigis and her teammates, and serves as a crucial turning point in the series. The Answer didn’t have a lot of good tracks as the base game of Persona 3 did, so this one definitely stands out as a fan-favorite in the game’s community.
While there are no vocals in Heartful Cry, it’s still a pretty easy theme to dance to. Besides, Atlus could always consider adding in vocals if they do decide to remix it.
The Battle For Everyone’s Souls
This track absolutely needs to be in Dancing Moon Night. The Battle For Everyone’s Souls is the theme that plays during the final boss fight (right before Burn My Dread kicks in), and it’s nothing short of epic. It’s essentially a rock remix of The Poem For Everyone’s Souls (the Velvet Room theme), and this version cranks it up to 11. It’s often regarded as one of the best final boss themes we’ve ever heard in JRPGs, and Atlus would be remiss not to include this in the Dancing Moon Night.
I could see this theme being the final song to beat in Dancing Moon Night. Similar to how Persona 4 Dancing All Night did with Reach Out To The Truth, the entire Persona 3 cast of characters could get together in an epic dance-off to this song while saving the world once again.
