Root Letter
Root Letter is a visual novel developed by Kadokawa Games, and it’ll be gracing the PS Vita with its presence this November. The story is set in Matsue, Japan, and it kicks off when the protagonist arrives in town to search for Fumino Aya, his pen pal. However, he soon finds a letter from her and starts to question whether everything she had ever told him in all their past letters was a lie.
The game is split into two sections. The first is an investigative mode of sorts, where players will go around town and interrogate Aya’s friends to find out where she went. The other gameplay mode involves the player reliving and engaging in past interactions they had with Aya.
Root Letter is set to be released for the PS Vita on November 1 in North America.
Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization
Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization is the fourth video game in the SAO series, and serves as a successor to Lost Song. Players will take control of an AI named Premiere, and you’ll get to travel the virtual world of Aincred with characters from the manga, including Kirito, Asuna, Leafa, and Sinon.
The game boasts a pretty robust character creator, so players will be able to really take the time to customize their avatars to their liking. In addition to that, the world will also be populated with many NPCs, some of which you’ll be able to create special bonds with by giving them certain items or pieces of equipment.
Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization is set to be released for the PS Vita on November 8 in North America.
Steins;Gate 0
Developed by 5pb. and Nitroplus, Steins;Gate 0 is the highly anticipated follow-up to the visual novel Steins;Gate, which was also released on the PS Vita and PC via Steam. As this is also a visual novel, players will spend most of their time clicking through and reading text and character dialogue.
The unique thing about Steins;Gate 0 is that you can receive phone messages from other characters, and your responses to them might determine the ending that you get for your playthrough. Players will also be able to send reaction stickers to the message senders. Steins;Gate 0 is a direct follow-up to Steins;Gate, so it’s highly recommended that players check out the first entry before jumping into this one.
Steins;Gate 0 is set to be released for the PS Vita on November 29 in North America.
