How to Find Shrine Locations – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Recommended Videos

There are many Shrines scattered across the world of Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Completing each Shrine will reward you with a Spirit Orb, and you can get either a health or stamina upgrade with every four Orbs that you collect. Not only that, you can also discover secret chests in the Shrines themselves to obtain more powerful weapons and items to help you out on your journey.

Shrines are easily identified by their orange glow and strange runes marked on the sides of grey, egg-shaped rocks. However, some of them are cleverly hidden, and you’ll have very small chances of finding them by just looking around. Thankfully, Breath of the Wild provides players with a cool function that lets you find Shrines more easily. After activating your second Sheikah tower, your Sheikah Slate will be upgraded with a scanner function.

From now on, the scanner will beep whenever you’re close to a Shrine, so all you have to do is move in the direction where the scanner’s beeping gets more rapid. You can also turn off the function from the map screen itself.

Now that you know how to find shrine locations, be sure to check back with Twinfinite and our ever-expanding wiki for more tips, tricks, and information on Breath of the Wild.
