Today, Rockstar Games released a webpage detailing how to prepare for the highly anticipated launch of Red Dead Redemption 2, as well as what to expect at the midnight release of the game on October 26th. To the surprise of no one, there will be a hefty launch day update that Rockstar recommends to all players to take advantage of the last minute bug fixes and changes that have been implemented pre-launch.

Additionally, players who digitally pre-ordered Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS4 or Xbox One can now pre-download the software on either platform. This is a particularly welcome announcement given the games enormous install size.

Other topics touched upon on the page include a newly set up support center website. It is optimized for mobile use and in Rockstar’s words will, “make it easier than ever to find the help you need when experiencing any issues.” Rockstar Games claims to be expecting unforeseen issues on launch day and hopes that this service will be of assistance to players seeking support. Features of the site will include the ability to submit a ticket for help, as well as a location to file bug reports.

Rockstar Games is also aware of the substantial interest in streaming and uploading Red Dead Redemption 2. A section dedicated to embargo information is included in this webpage as well. The embargo lift will coincide with the midnight launch of the game in Australia and New Zealand. Date and time equivalents for other regions can be found within the source, but this will allow for some early streaming in both EST and Pacific time zones.

Finally, Rockstar addressed the beta of Red Dead Online, coming in November. It will be free to anyone who owns Red Dead Redemption 2 on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The developer also anticipates early problems and bugs, and community outreach will be crucial in rectifying any issues that come up. Rockstar also says to expect more details on Red Dead Online in future weeks, so stay tuned for more on that.
