How to Get Ready for Destiny 2’s Raid

destiny 2, exotic

The thing about exotics in Destiny 2 is that they always have a chance to drop higher than anything else you have. This makes them great for infusion or to simply equip and boost your power. With enemies in the Leviathan raid set to be between 260 and 280 power, using these beautiful yellow engrams to give yourself a leg up is far from a bad idea.

The two most lucrative ways we’ve found for farming these exotic engrams in Destiny 2 is through Strikes and Heroic Public Events (both requiring a Fireteam Medallion). Just grab two other players, pop a coin, and repeat the events to gather as many legendary and exotic engrams as you can. Go back to the Tower and decrypt them whenever your pouch is full (you can carry 10), then repeat. We’ve been able to amass a small armory using these methods, so get out there, Guardians. You can also take on the exotic quests available in the game.

Another thing that can help you with boosting is the mod system present in the game. These come in two rarities, rare (blue) or legendary (purple). While both types provide useful perks and buffs, purples actually increase the Power of the piece of gear you put them on by 5, really pushing you above and beyond. So making use of exotics, as well as mods will help out a ton.
