The game is code named “Project Mikhail” and it’s a 3D action game focused on the franchise’s iconic mecha named Tactical Surface Fighters.

The project was introduced by director Kumano-san and technical director Kakitani-san, and it’s being worked on by a team of veterans from Square Enix and other Japanese industry giants.

It’ll be released for PC, iOS, and Android in 2021 in Japanese, English, and Chinese.

Despote the release for mobile the game won’t have any gacha, and it may have a subscription or a battle pass model. Kumano-san mentioned that he dislikes pay-to-win games, so the team is steering clear from that.

The game lets you customize and pilot your Tactical Surface Fighter in battle, and it looks really nice.

You can check out a demonstration that was shown on screen below, showcasing the first gameplay.
