Monster Hunter is extremely popular in Japan, so it’s not surprising that products that have nothing to do with games often seek to use Capcom’s IP for promotional reasons.
Today Japanese company Real Style, that produces the protein supplements line Be Legend announced a new collaboration with Monster Hunter on its EAA (Essential Amino Acid) integrator, designed to help with body building training.
The product comes in a special packaging that uses the image of the Furious Rajang that recently appeared in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.
The product identified as “Rajang Heart Flavor” (but it’s actually pineapple), priced at 5,090Â yen (roughly translating into $47) per 300-gram package.
The concept is that while training you may find yourself in situations in which you lack motivation or feel intimidated by the effort required. This collaboration expresses the will to challenge these situation with overwhelming power like Rajang does.
The product promises to provide those 9 amino acids that can’t be synthetized by the body on its own and have to be provided via the diet.
Incidentally, bundles with a special shakes or dedicated T-shirts are also available, for those who want to wear their Rajang heart on the sleeve (or chest).
This is actually not the first time Real Style collaborates with Capcom. Another Monster Hunter collaboration was released in 2019,and there have been more with Street Fighter. We’ve also seen anime and manga collaborations with the likes of Naruto, Dragon Ball, Kinnikuman, Fist of the North Star, and more.
If anyone ever asks you what Rajang tastes like, now you know: pineapple.
