In the tables below you can check out the results in detail. The whole company’s sales were essentially flat year-on-year, while operating profit almost doubled.

Among the drivers for that profit were the “big hits” Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin and Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, which shipped respectively 950,000 units and 700,000 units.

As a result the consumer game business saw a significant increase in sales year-on-year, and doubled its profits.

We also hear that Shonobi Master: Senran Kagura New Link continued its strong performance due to the successful implementation of collaborations and the anniversary event, despite quite an old game. It was originally launched in 2017.

For the further fiscal year (ending in March 2022), Marvelous aims to promote Rune Factory 5 and will strive to maintain the popularity of the series. The company also spelled the goal to further expand sales of Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin and Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town.
