Ghost Recon: Breakpoint’s Immersive Mode Dials up the Realism, New Trailer Showcases

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Ubisoft’s next chapter in its post-launch support of Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is called Ghost Experience and it really shakes things up. From March 24, players will be presented with three new ways to play the game: Regular, Immersive Mode, and the Custom ruleset that allows them to modify all settings according to preference.

A new trailer launched alongside the announcement today presents the specifics of each. In particular, the Immersive Mode’s removal of weapon levels is a game-changer, meaning that you can keep and customize and keep competitive any weapon from even the earliest parts of the game.

Other big changes include the ability to carry two main weapons and that weapons and loot are acquired only by happening upon them across Auroa.

Thanks to the “Custom Mode,” players can actually tweak the Ghost Experience to be even more focused on realism with a more hardcore survival focus. Health and stamina regeneration, the removal of the HUD, and even an option to that sees remaining ammo lost when switching mags early can be fine-tuned.

You can check out a detailed overview of the new mode for yourself in the below trailer.

The Ghost Experience marks a continuation of Ubisoft’s commitment to post-launch support of Breakpoint despite its middling critical and commercial performance.
