Bandai Namco Reports Strong Sales for Ace Combat 7, SoulCalibur VI, Jump Force, and More

Today Bandai Namco announced its financial results for the fiscal year ended on March 31, 2019.

As you can see in the table below, both sales and profit registered a sizable improvement year-on-year.

It has certainly been a rather positive year for Bandai Namco as a whole.

We learn that within the Network Entertainment Business segment (which includes games), looking at the network content (mobile and social games) Dragon Ball, One Piece and IdolMaster games performed well due to measures aiming to appease users.

In the home console market, SoulCalibur VI, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, and Jump Force that launched on the worldwide market, in addition to catalog and new games in Japan, saw strong sales.

Sales specifically for the Network Entertainment Business were 340,927 million yen (up 4.4% year-on-year), while profits were 47,534 (down 5.2% year-on-year).

In the current fiscal year (ending on March 31, 2020), Bandai Namco intends to accelerate the worldwide development of both network and home video games, strengthening the efforts to create new entertainment.
