Does South Park: The Fractured But Whole Have Multiplayer?

Recommended Videos

The sequel to South Park: The Stick of Truth, The Fractured But Whole, is out now and sees you and the other kids of South Park take on superhero personas. You’ll fill out your character sheet, explore the town, and take on sixth graders in combat, but can you do any of this alongside another real-world player in any multiplayer modes?

Unfortunately, just as was the case with the previous game, there is no multiplayer of any kind this time around, either. There is no separate online mode and there is no option for co-op play, whether that be online or off. While the developer has never stated whether or not they plan to feature multiplayer options in a South Park game in the future, it is unlikely that we’ll see anything. The Fractured But Whole is a very single-player focused experience, with a detailed story, where you develop your single character. The only possible option for two-player action would be something that was linked to the combat buddy system in the game, but that would be limited to certain quests. If multiplayer was ever added to The Fractured But Whole, we will be sure to update you.
