How to Go to Work in The Sims 4 on Consoles (PS4 & Xbox One)

Recommended Videos

The Sims 4 is finally out on PS4 and Xbox One and it’s time for console players to dip their feet into the game. It’s the life simulator everyone loves, tasking you with following the lives of whatever sims you might want. You’ll dictate whatever it is they do, right down to going to work. Here’s how to make sure they make it in time for some promotions. Depending on the job, you’ll have a set work schedule to adhere to. Arriving on time is crucial if you want a promotion, but being late won’t hurt you too much. Unless, of course, you already have a bad rating. In any case, an hour before your work actually starts, your sim will automatically head out and leave the lot. If you canceled this or they’re not leaving, you can force it. Navigate to the career section of the bottom-right part of the UI (it’s a briefcase icon). Select it, and then highlight the circle on the top left of the little window that appears. It’s a circle with what looks like a person sitting at a desk. It should be glowing yellow if you’re late. Once you select it, you will be forcing your sim to leave the lot in order to head to work. If you wanted to follow your sim out onto their career, unfortunately you can’t do that with the console version just yet. That requires the expansion pack Get to Work. Whenever that releases and you buy it, you’ll be able to do it then. That’s all there is to making your sims head out for their jobs in The Sims 4 on PS4 and Xbox One.
