How to Sprint and Run Faster in Shenmue 3

To sprint in Shenmue 3, simply hold down R2. Doing so makes Ryo move considerably faster than walking.

It is also important to note that while sprinting and running faster in Shenmue 3 will get you where you want to be faster, it does come at a cost.

Every time you use the sprint mechanic, Ryo’s health depletes faster than if he was just walking. Draining your health is obviously going to make things a little bit difficult in some situations, but it isn’t something you can’t fix.

In order to restore the health that is lost from sprinting, or in general, just have Ryo eat food. This will restore his health accordingly.

Hopefully now that you’ve got a bit more mobility, the game will pick up the pace and become even more enjoyable.
