How to Get Kyogre – Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

Recommended Videos

Kyogre is Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire’s Water-type Legendary. Along with Groudon, it is responsible for creating the lands and the seas that people know today. Unlike Groudon however, Kyogre does not gain a second type from undergoing Primal Reversion, although it still does become more powerful.

Needless to say, this particular Pokemon, as is the case with mascots from each entry into the series, is highly coveted. There are a few ways to obtain this particular monster which include catching and trading.

In order to catch one, you’ll need a copy of Alpha Sapphire. After progressing through the story, you’ll reach the Cave of Origin shortly before reaching the final gym. Here is where you’ll fight a level 45 Kyogre and have the opportunity to catch it. If you have Ruby instead, you’ll end up fighting Groudon here.

If you’re not playing Sapphire, however, you will have to Trade with someone who does have what you’re looking for in return for a creature of yours that they’re willing to swap for.
