Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire: How to Get Mew

How to Get Mew – Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

Recommended Videos

Mew is the one mythical creature that everyone wants. With each generation of Pokemon games, the question arises as to whether the pink mouse can be caught in the new titles.

In the case of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, there are a few ways you can get Mew in the game. The first of which unfortunately has passed by now. Earlier this year, Mew was available as an event Pokemon to download for all titles on the 3DS.

If you missed your chance grabbing one via the Mystery Gift event, you can always try and find someone online who may be willing to gift you it.

There is another way to get Mew, though it’ll require you to do a bit of legwork on an older game. All you have to do is download a game on the Wii called My Pokemon Ranch and transferring ‘mon from your Diamond and Pearl games (if you have one of them). At certain milestones, Hayley, an NPC in the game, will ask for certain Pokemon in exchange for another. Upon trading 999 Pokemon to the Ranch, it will expand to its highest level and Hayley will ask for any Egg. Simply give her an Egg and you’ll be rewarded with Mew in exchange. With the mythical creature now on your Diamond/ Pearl game, simply trade it up to your Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire cart.
