In Pillars of Eternity 2, you’re not locked to your current character and party members at all time. You can scroll around the map and either have individuals move around on their own, or have the party move together as a unit. Your instinct might be to just move your cursor to the corner of the screen in order to look around you surroundings and shift the camera around. While this does work just fine if that’s what you like, there is a much quicker way to look around.

If you hold your mouse scroll button down, you’ll be able to drag the camera around. In other words, you can look around all of your surroundings quickly and if you want, command your party members to move to a specific location without you actually having any of your characters physically there yet. If you don’t utilize this, you’ll find that it’s quite cumbersome to look around and get your bearings.
