What You Need to Do to Save in Oninaki

  1. Look for a Save Point (Big Obelisk/ Pillar)

  2. When in range of it, a sphere will appear around you. Press X on PS4 and A on Switch.

  3. Select the ‘Save Game’ option from the bottom of the list.

  4. Confirm the slot you wish to record your progress in.

Saving in Oninaki all revolves around large pillars or obelisks that you’ll find scattered throughout the map you’re exploring.

You know you’ll have found one when it begins emitting a healing sphere around you once you get within close proximity to it.

At this point, all you need to do is press X on PS4 or A on Switch to open up the Save Point menu. Then all you need to do is simply cycle through the options to the final tab and select the ‘Save Game’ option.

Once you’ve done this, all of your progress should be recorded and you’ll be free to exit the game knowing that your progress has been safely saved, or continue on with your adventure knowing you’ve got a spot to return to.

Like a lot of new releases nowadays, Oninaki also has an auto-save feature, which appears to trigger after cutscenes or completing set objectives.

Look out for the green icon moving in the bottom right corner of your screen and you’ll know it’s auto saved.
