How to Get Nitrogen Salt in No Man’s Sky NEXT

No Man’s Sky’s huge NEXT update has been available for a few days now, and you can explore the beautiful planets with your friends, completing missions as you go and building bases wherever you would like. As you play through the game, some of the missions will task you with crafting some items, for which you’ll need particular elements. One of the elements you might need is Nitrogen Salt, which can be difficult to come across. Here’s everything you need to know about how to get Nitrogen Salt in the NEXT update in No Man’s Sky.

Nitrogen Salt can be crafted using a blueprint for the ingredient and the following resources:

• 250 x Nitrogen
• 50 x Condensed Carbon

While that sounds pretty simple, you’re going to need to know how to get the two ingredients before you craft Nitrogen Salt. First of all, you’ll be able to harvest Nitrogen from plants on most planets in No Man’s Sky – you shouldn’t have much trouble getting your hands on it.

Condensed Carbon is a little trickier to get, however. It is crafted by passing regular Carbon, which is easily sourced, through a Refiner. Passing 2 x Carbon through a refiner will give you 1 x Condensed Carbon. Alternatively, you can use 2 x Oxygen and 1 x Condensed Carbon to create 6 x Condensed Carbon. You may also be able to find Condensed Carbon in crystal form on some planets. Once you have both ingredients, you can combine them to craft Nitrogen Salt. Simply create as much as you need for the recipe you’re trying to craft.
