That’s why you want to know how to ride your Palamute in Monster Hunter Rise so you can speed up your journey across the world.
Fortunately for you, we have the answers you’re looking for. Read on to find out how to climb aboard your steed without issue the second it becomes available.
How to Ride Your Palamute in Monster Hunter Rise
There are two different ways to ride a Palamute companion in Monster Hunter Rise, and both are fairly easy to pull off.
The first is to walk up to your furry friend and hold down the A Button. This will cause a meter to appear, and after it’s full, you’ll hop aboard your faithful companion.
The second option is to manually mount your canine steed by selecting the “Let Me Ride” option from the Action Bar.
This takes longer to put you atop your Palamute, but it can be helpful when you’re too faraway for the first option or don’t want to fiddle with the exact spacing for triggering the mounting meter.
What You Can Do While Riding Your Palamute
Once you’re atop your Palamute in Monster Hunter Rise, you’ll be able to carry out most actions you’d normally take more quickly.
You can run and dash at higher speeds, dodge out of the way of enemy attacks lightning-fast, and knock enemies for a loop before they even know what hit them. You also won’t burn any stamina from any movement-based actions.
The only drawback is that you will only be able to attack with a three-hit combo, and will need to make due with it for as long as you’re riding your mount.
