Madden 20: How to Save

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

EA Sports’ latest iteration of the popular Madden series is here, and it brings with it a bunch of exciting tweaks to a well-established formula. That includes new modes like face of the franchise, as well as an interesting new progression system called Superstar X-Factor. But much of the design and UI remains fairly familiar from last year. Still, if you’ve either forgotten or you’re a newcomer looking for information on how to save in Madden 20, here’s what you need to know.

How to Save in Madden 20

Like many of EA’s sports games, Madden 20 does quite a bit of auto-saving. That said, there is a manual save function that’s applicable to some of the game modes.

In Franchise, for example, you can create a save point any time you want by pressing the touchpad (PS4) View Button (Xbox One). Select an open slot or overwrite an existing one if you choose, then name it, and you’ll complete the manual save.

Again, though, the game autosaves at certain points such as after completing a match, so most of the time you’re not going to need to worry unless you’re simming your progress and want to create a manual save then and there before playing another game.

The same reigns true for online modes such as MUT, where your progress is stored on EA’s/Madden’s servers; the game is constantly auto-saving in the background, so feel free to play away and not concern yourself with your data being lost.

That should be everything you need to know about how to save in Madden 20. It’s all quite straight forward and most of the hard work is done for you autonomously in the background. That being said, if there’s anything you’re unsure of then feel free to sound off in the comment section below.
