Last of Us 2: Where to Get Long Gun Holster

Developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony, The Last of Us 2 is finally out in the wild, and it is indeed a very real video game that you can play right now. As you might expect, there are quite a few weapons you can collect over the course of the game, and you’ll need to be able to swap between them quickly. Here’s where to get the long gun holster in The Last of Us 2.

Getting the Long Gun Holster in The Last of Us 2

The long gun holster was an item you could get via weapon upgrades in the first game, but in this one, you can pick it up pretty early on. Once you reach Seattle with Dina, you’ll soon be given the opportunity to explore a portion of the city on horseback. One of the buildings houses the holster itself, and we’ve marked it for you on the map down below. Just look for where our player marker is.

Enter the building and check the backroom –you’ll find the item lying on the countertop. Pick it up and Ellie will automatically equip it, allowing you to switch between two long weapons just by pressing left on the d-pad.

As you get more long weapons, you’ll still have to manually swap them out within the menu, but at least now you’ll have quick access to two of them at all times. As far as we can tell, there’s no way to upgrade the holster in any way to allow you to carry more than two long weapons at once, so you’ll have to make do with what you have.
