To start off, you must play the featured Iron Banner game mode and earn reputation points, which in this case is Eruption Clash. Even if you aren’t good at pvp, make sure to fully complete the match, otherwise you will earn no points if you leave early. You will have a small chance of earning a Razor’s Edge, as well as other Iron Banner gear at the end of each match.
- Rank up and earn Iron Engrams
Earning reputation points will eventually allow you to increase your Iron Banner rank. Upon ranking up, Lord Saladin will have an Iron Engram waiting for you. You can only earn one Engram per rank-up. You can increase the amount of reputation points you earn by wearing Iron Banner gear as well. Ornaments for armor pieces do count.
- Focus Iron Engrams for a better roll.
In order to buy your own copy of Razor’s Edge, you must use one of the Iron Engrams you have earned and then buy one directly from Lord Saladin himself. It will cost you 100 legendary shards and 20,000 glimmer per purchase, so make sure you spend wisely. This applies to all other Iron Banner gear as well.

There are a few noteworthy combos of perks that can make Razor’s Edge into a top-tier weapon. But of course, every gun must have the best roll. According to Light.gg, the highest rated pair of perks considered the “God Roll” for the weapon is Duelist’s Trance and Chain Reaction.
Duelist’s Trance states that Sword final blows grant increased charge rate, efficiency, and defense until this weapon is stowed, while Chain Reaction creates an elemental damage explosion after securing final blows. This perk combination allows players to continuously swing their swords while chaining explosions one after another after defeating their opponents. A great option for PvE activities.
Can You Craft Razor’s Edge in Destiny 2?
Unfortunately, no, you aren’t able to craft it at this time. This applies to all other Iron Banner weapons as well. However, Bungie has said in a previous TWAB that there could be a possibility in a future season for Iron Banner weapons to become craftable.
