How BRUTES Work

A Brute is a new vehicle that you can find in Fortnite Battle Royale and it is operated by two players. One player will control the movement, while the other has control of the two weapons.

The driver isn’t limited to just walking around though. They can dash around in combat, “Stomp enemies and structures into the ground,” and “Super Jump to victory.”

The passenger’s job in a Brute is limited to shooting, however. At their disposal, they have a shotgun that has a clip size of 10, does 50 damage, and has a headshot multiplier of 1.5x.

Then there is the Missile Launcher, which can fire up to 10 rounds at once, allows you to load missiles by holding the trigger, and fires all the rounds you load automatically.

There’s also a new mechanic that BRUTE users can take advantage of. Overshield “consumes 200 of any Material type to create a personal overshield for 5 seconds to protect you in the mech,” according to the patch notes.

BRUTE Locations in Fortnite Season 10

Now that you know how BRUTES work, you’ll likely want to jump into one as soon as you can. Below are all the locations we have found in our first time jumping in, but the locations are a bit more complicated than that.

They can actually spawn anywhere on the map, with the locations changing each time you play. Simply check the map and look for the icon of the BRUTE.

There should be four of them available from the start, with the icon disappearing if someone else has started using it. Then, if they jump out, the icon will become visible again in its new location.

The best way of finding one is to simply check the map when you first leave the battle bus and hightail it to the nearest BRTUTE icon.
