How to Refer a Friend

You’ll want to head over to the official Refer a Friend site and sign in to your Epic Games account. From here you can click the Add a Friend button to select eligible friends to join you in the event. The referees do not also need to sign up on the site, you adding them is enough.

There is only one thing you need to know as far as Refer a Friend eligibility goes:

Add up to 5 friends from Fortnite on the Refer a Friend program website who have played less than two hours of a core Fortnite Battle Royale or Zero Build game playlists (i.e., Solo, Duos, Trios, or Squads) in the last 30 days (includes new players).

All Refer a Friend Challenges & Rewards

Keep in mind that players can register until Jan. 10, 2023, and challenges must be complete by Feb. 19, 2023. It is also confirmed that these can all be done in bot lobbies.

There are five challenges to complete and rewards to earn.

  • Create a Connection (Add a Friend) – Double Draw Spray
  • Play 1 Game in Fortnite With a Referee – Immortal Oasis Wrap
  • Place Top 10 6 Times With a Referee – Oasis Wind Backbling
  • Eliminate 45 Opponents With a Referee – Oasis Wind Pickaxe
  • Gain Plus 60 Levels on Your Own and Wait for Your Referee to Gain Plus 60 Levels Too – Xander Outfit

For most of these, you can’t start gaining progression until completing the previous challenge has been completed, but the 60 levels will begin counting right as you sign up.

On top of that, the 60 levels are considered “account levels,” meaning not tied to the Battle Pass. You could get 30 levels this season and then 30 levels next season, and it would count. The 60 levels also do not need to be all earned together; that challenge can be completed separately.

This is everything you need to know for how to refer a friend and earn all Refer a Friend rewards in Fortnite. While you are taking part in these challenges, keep in mind the No Sweat Summer event is starting later this week with its own cosmetics to earn.
