How to Open and Hide Minimap in Diablo 2: Resurrected (All Platforms)

So, obviously, the way you open and close the minimap in Diablo 2: Resurrected will depend on your platform of choice as they all have a different button input for it.

On PlayStation it’s the touchpad, on Switch it’s the Select button, on Xbox it’s View, and for PC players it’s the V key.

When you push the button just once, the minimap will simply open and close. However, if you hold the button, you’ll instead expand the map to cover nearly the entire screen transparently. This is helpful if you need to check a wide area to figure out where you haven’t explored yet so you can quickly get yourself back on track.

If you hold the button again after expanding to full-size, you’ll actually make it smaller again but it will flip to the other corner of the screen, in case you prefer it on the left side of the screen as opposed to the right side. Holding it one last time will put you back at the default.

Personally, I find the smaller right corner minimap position to be the best most of the time, and I will occasionally expand it when needed. However, some players prefer to play with it full size all of the time, and others don’t want a minimap there at all. The choice is yours.

That’s all you need to know for how to open and hide the minimap in Diablo 2Resurrected. For more Diablo 2: Resurrected check out some of our most recent guides and articles down below, including our fully-scored review.
