How to Use V-Gauge & What it Does in Captain Tsubasa Rise of New Champions

First, the V-Gauge is the yellow meter at the bottom of the screen that’s right below the display of which character you’re currently controlling. There are a couple of different uses for this meter but both are extremely powerful and can tip the balance of a match one way or the other.

The V-Gauge is filled up slowly over time, but it also fills as you perform just about any action throughout the match like tackles, dribble moves, or shots. Once the gauge is filled you don’t need to activate it right away. Just make sure you use it in a spot that is advantageous to your team.

Once you find the perfect time to burn that meter, you can use up your V-Gauge by pressing the L2 (PS) or ZL (NS) button. But the timing and uses greatly differ depending upon which side of the ball you’re on.

Super Saves

The V-Gauge can be used to perform what is called a Super Save. If you have a full meter and your opponent takes a shot, you can use L2 or ZL to block the shot. This will stop a shot 100% of the time. Only use in the most important of situations.

V-Zone

This is the other, most common use for a full V-Gauge. Just like with Super Saves, you need to press L2 or ZL in order to activate V-Zone. This is a fantastic tool for attacking the goal.

Your player’s spirit gauges won’t decrease as quickly and you’ll be able to charge shots and passes more quickly with V-Zone Active. Essentially, you’ll be able to take powerful shots more often which will wear down the keeper if you’re persistent.

Time needed: 2 minutes

Here’s a quick summary on how to use V-Gauge & what it does in Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions:

  1. Fill V-Gauge

This happens over time and by performing just about any move during the match.

  2. Use V-Gauge

That’s all there is to know about how to use V-Gauge and what it does in Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions. Use that V-Gauge wisely, and it may just turn certain defeat into a stunning victory.
