Among Us is one of the most popular games around right now, as players love getting together to try and be the last one standing amidst a team full of possible impostors. Regardless of what side you find yourself on, you’ll need to use a handful of strategies to win, especially as an impostor. Here is everything you need to know about how to use vents in Among Us.
It is important to note that even though everyone can see duct entry and exit points, only Impostors can access them. This gives them a distinct advantage when it comes to traversal, as they let players pop up across the map in much shorter intervals.
For example, the Mira HQ map allows for Impostors to circumnavigate the entire map using the air ducts.
Now that you know the advantages of these shortcuts, let’s talk about the basics to using them.
How to Use Vents in Among Us
Whenever you’re playing as an Impostor, all you have to do to enter a vent is go near it. When you do, the sabotage button is replaced with the Vent button. Simply click it and an animation cues where your character hops into the vent.
Since only Impostors can use vents, you’ll want to be completely aware of your surroundings when using these shortcuts. If someone sees you go into one of these areas, they’ll call a team meeting and out you.
You should also know that hiding in these areas pauses the player’s kill and sabotage cooldowns until they exit.
Time needed: 1 minute
