Back 4 Blood is the spiritual successor to Valve’s Left 4 Dead co-op zombie FPS from over a decade ago. Bringing more of the four-player action to our screens, players can take on the campaign either on their own with bots, or with three friends. There’s also a ‘Swarm’ PvP mode for those that want to try their hand at being a Ridden, tearing human survivors limb from limb. However, in this guide, we’re going to be explaining how long Back 4 Blood’s campaign is, and how many missions and chapters there are for you to work through.
How Long Is Back 4 Blood’s Campaign?
It takes about 6 hours to beat Back 4 Blood’s campaign on the ‘Recruit’ difficulty. This saw us doing a little bit of exploring the levels as we went, but didn’t have us finding any of the secrets tucked away in particular chapters, as outlined in the game’s achievements list.
If you’re looking to play on the tougher Survival or Nightmare difficulties, then you can expect a playthrough of Back 4 Blood’s campaign to take a fair bit longer as you die and have to retry different sections. Plus, the swarms of Ridden that do come at you will be far larger and so it’ll generally take you longer to take care of them all before pushing on.
